Looking for equipment finance brokers? A referral network for lenders instead
Many lenders looking for more deals search for brokers and advisors to send them files. EFN is a different arrangement: not a broker, but a matching and referral service that routes a business owner's deal to the one lender whose criteria fit it.
What lenders usually want from a broker
More deals, and the right ones: files that fit the credit policy, from borrowers who are ready to buy, without spending the week on the phone. Brokers vary, and many are good at what they do. On the homepage EFN compares the paths a borrower can take, and describes common broker practice, not any particular firm: the broker decides where a file goes, a file is often distributed broadly, and often submitted in bulk.
How EFN is different
- Criteria first. You set your box: states, equipment, credit, time in business, deal size, documentation and asset rules. A file reaches you only when it fits.
- One lender at a time. Each deal comes to you alone, with no competing calls from other lenders. Claim it within 24 hours and it is yours until you pass.
- Reviewed by a person. Every match is human-reviewed against your credit box before it reaches you.
- No negotiating on anyone's behalf. EFN does not package, price or negotiate the deal. It makes the introduction and steps aside, and you work the deal directly with the borrower.
- Ranked on fit, never on price. One flat referral fee for every lender in the network. No lender can pay to be routed ahead of another.
What it costs
Joining is free. The referral fee is 1% of the funded amount, and a referral fee applies only on deals that actually fund. Pay nothing for leads you pass on.
The borrower pays nothing to use EFN. The fee is one figure, the same for every lender, set out in a referral agreement you review and sign before any deal is routed to you.
Who it is for
EFN works exclusively with direct lenders: banks, credit unions, specialty finance companies, and equipment finance groups that fund deals from their own balance sheet or credit facility. We do not work with brokers, loan packagers, or intermediaries.
If you are a broker yourself, EFN is not a channel for you: it does not onboard brokers, loan packagers or intermediaries, because a file routed to a lender should go to the institution that will fund it.
What the borrower experiences
One short application and a soft credit pull. The borrower's file is not sent around to a dozen banks; it goes to one matched lender, and the borrower works with that lender directly. That is why the deal you receive arrives with one interested business owner rather than a borrower who has already heard from a list.

Common questions
Is EFN a broker?
No. EFN is a matching and referral service. It does not negotiate deals on anyone's behalf, and it earns a referral fee only when a deal it introduced funds.
How is EFN paid?
By a referral fee of 1% of the funded amount, only on deals that actually fund. Joining is free, and the borrower pays nothing to use EFN.
Do I compete with other lenders for each deal?
No. Each deal goes to one lender at a time. You have 24 hours to claim it, and once claimed it is yours until you pass.
Who decides where a deal goes?
Fit decides. Each file is checked against every lender's stated criteria, and a person reviews the match before anything is sent. No lender can pay to be routed ahead of another.
Can I see a deal before I join?
Yes. The sample deal page shows exactly what a lender receives on a routed deal, before and after expressing interest. No login required.
