• Equipment or vehicle bill of sale: A private-party sale of a truck, trailer or machine: both parties, the serial number or VIN, the price, as-is and lien wording, and signature lines.
• Personal financial statement: Assets, debts, income, contingent liabilities, and real estate and notes schedules. Net worth and totals work themselves out.
• Equipment condition report: Rate a machine section by section: engine, hydraulics, tires or tracks, frame, cab and safety, with notes and an inspector's signature.
• Business debt schedule: Every loan, lease and line of credit on one sheet, with balances and monthly payments added up. Lenders ask for this on larger deals.
• Promissory note: A simple written promise to repay a loan, in monthly payments or one lump sum. The payment works itself out from the amount, rate and term.
• Equipment rental agreement: Renting out or renting a machine: the dates, rate, deposit, who covers damage, and insurance, with signature lines for both sides.
• LLC operating agreement: A simple agreement for a single-member or multi-member LLC: owners, percentages, who runs it, and what happens if someone leaves.

Checklists
